Once I made a kaleidoscope in school

Putting three mirrors together
In a paper tube
With beads and celluloid scraps
Of various colors and shapes.

When I looked into it in the light
Beauty took my breath away.
When turned in my hands
Magical worlds appeared endlessly
With rustling sounds.

Now I have a kaleidoscope of my life.

Dark fragments of sadness
Crooked scraps of failures and frustrations
Red beads of passion
Blue and green pieces of nature
Lots of pretty colored human encounters
Mixed with pearls of tears
Shine as one in harmony
In the Light.
